Brooklyn is a treasure trove of history, culture and unbeatable urban charm. In NYC’s most populous borough, nestled between historic Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), lies gems and architectural marvels. Did you know that Brooklyn Heights is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods? The neighborhood is truly a sight to behold. It boasts picture perfect brownstones and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

This tour showcases the mixed cultures of this borough and delivers an unforgettable experience.  What a way to get to know these famous and historic neighborhoods! Feel the pulse of the city through the Brooklyn Bridge walk adventure that awaits, immersing you in the very heart and soul of the Big Apple.

As we navigate Brooklyn’s streets, prepare to treat your palate to three new stops on this tour!

• The Maiz Project: Have a taste of Venezuelan cuisine with Maiz Project. Nestled in the midst of Brooklyn, its soul resonates with the rhythms of the Venezuelan countryside. “Our specialty is arepas,” declares the chef and owner with palpable pride, having grown amidst the lush greens and traditional households of Venezuela. The Maiz Project is not just about food; it’s about preserving an art form. By employing ancestral family techniques and sourcing diverse corn varieties from Mexico’s rich farmlands, they breathe life into arepas that sing of authenticity and tradition. Each variant, be it the steak adorned with white cheese or the tantalizing chorizo paired with Irish cheddar, is a symphony of flavors that celebrate Venezuela’s rich culinary heritage. What started as an earnest pop-up dreaming big has now found its prestigious niche in Time Out Market New York.

• Bread & Spread: As you enter Bread & Spread, you’re not just stepping into an eatery; you’re walking into John Coppola’s life story. A proud Brooklyn native, John’s culinary odyssey spanned from bustling New York kitchens to the esteemed halls of the Culinary Institute of America, leading to the creation of Bread & Spread in 2014. The space, which began as a cozy 80 sq ft. nook, stands as a testament to growth, passion, and sheer will. It’s here that family recipes, passed down through generations, intertwine with premium local ingredients to craft gastronomic masterpieces. Their famed sandwiches not only tantalize the taste buds, but also offer a glimpse into Chef John’s cherished memories of culinary experiments on his grandma’s cast-iron pan.

• Le French Tart:  Le French Tart, helmed by the passionate Laurent and Esperanza Chavenet, is where Brooklynites find their Parisian escape. The moment you step in, it’s as if you’re in one of the bakeries in Paris. The shelves are adorned with selected imports from France, while the display cases exude the smell of cheeses, pâtés, and an assortment of pastries baked to golden perfection. However, the true crown jewel is the Chocolate Suicide—a decadent, flourless chocolate cake draped in rich ganache. Every bite feels like an embrace from the city of Paris itself, promising an unforgettable experience for every chocolate aficionado.

The All-New Brooklyn Bridge Walk Experience

The majestic Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most iconic sights in the world. It’s a marvel of 19th-century engineering. We are so excited to now offer a partial walk over the bridge as part of the tour. The path, slightly elevated over the traffic below, provides an unparalleled vantage point. As you embark on this journey across the East River, on one side, Manhattan’s skyscrapers rise like giants, while on the other, Brooklyn sprawls with its unique blend of old and new. This isn’t just a walk; it’s an experience, a moment to pause, reflect, and soak in the city’s essence from a viewpoint like no other.

And don’t forget about beautiful and historic DUMBO. Cobblestone streets, waterfront views, charming shops and restaurants. We stop by One Girl for their famous whoopie pie.
