It’s no secret that corporate parties can be a pain to plan and budget for. The food, drinks, venue, & entertainment options take time to find and often require a hefty budget. This winter, leave holiday parties in the past and do something new with your team. Book the Sustainable Harlem Tour: the newest social impact tour from Like A Local Tours. The woman-owned and locally operated tour company is partnering with a local tour guide and hyper-local organizations that focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals of zero hunger, sustainable cities and communities, and responsible consumption and production.

Monday, November 28, 2022: (BROOKLYN, NEW YORK)- On December 2, Like A Local Tours is launching its first Harlem based Social Impact Tour. “We are excited to announce our newest tour that allows travelers and companies to connect with local organizations that are working to solve problems and promote community in Harlem,” said Lauren Beebe, Founder & CEO of Like A Local Tours.

Tour participants and groups are able to support hyper-local, community-based organizations and learn about the movements and people behind them, while experiencing Harlem on an authentic level.

  • Learn about an important and impactful new venture from the New York Fair Trade Coalition at the Sustainable Fashion Community Center.
  • Enjoy lunch at locally black-owned and sustainable restaurant FIELDTRIP from JJ Johnson, a James Beard Award-winning chef, TV Personality and Author. Part of their mission is giving back directly to the community.
  • Participate in a street clean up with the local tree steward of Green and Blue Eco Care while learning about the efforts being made to care for NYC street trees and the quality of local water sources.

Social Impact Tours are designed for those who want a new way to explore communities while giving back to the organizations that support them. “The new generation of travelers crave more than just their standard tour. Tour participants want experiences like behind the scenes access and volunteering with local non-profits or community organizations,” said Lauren Beebe.
